From 1990-to 1994 he worked as a trainer in a sports medicine clinic while attending a local community college.
After a life-changing neck injury in 1995, which halted his healthy, active lifestyle, he began a rigorous regimen of anti-inflammatory and pain medications with minimal relief, leaving him feeling hopeless and depressed.
It was through his persistence to get back to his previous, healthy, active lifestyle that Sam gained an understanding and appreciation for healing methods that offered an alternative to surgery and avoided a lifelong regimen of pain medication which included chiropractic medicine and massage therapy.
