Bev (Retired therapist & Retired owner as of September 2022, Emily Gillette is the new proud owner) opened Soothing Sessions Massage in December of 2000 because of her passion for helping people through the use of therapeutic massage.
Emily has been a licensed Massage Therapist since graduating from PTI in 2013, and became the new owner of Soothing Sessions Massage LLC in 2022. Originally from Pennsylvania, she knew massage was her calling at a young age and is very passionate about her work and improving quality of life using various deep tissue modalities.
Sam is a 2012 graduate of The National Academy of Massage Therapy in Pennsylvania. His professional training includes Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Myofascial Release, Table Thai Yoga, and Sports Massage. From 1990-to 1994 he worked as a trainer in a sports medicine clinic while attending a local community college.
After a life-changing neck injury in 1995, which halted his healthy, active lifestyle, he began a rigorous regimen of anti-inflammatory and pain medications with minimal relief, leaving him feeling hopeless and depressed.
It was through his persistence to get back to his previous, healthy, active lifestyle that Sam gained an understanding and appreciation for healing methods that offered an alternative to surgery and avoided a lifelong regimen of pain medication which included chiropractic medicine and massage therapy.
Homegrown in Sunny South Carolina, an alumna of USC and life-long learner, Ruthie graduated from the Clinical Massage Therapy Program of Midlands Technical College, June 2022. This Licensed Massage Therapist brings to the table nearly four decades of service as a Registered Nurse, BSN and Health Educator, MAT. Excellent care during your therapeutic massage session is priority in the hands of this seasoned professional. Ruthie has many other interests in her free time such as singing, dancing and photography. Best of all, her heart is wrapped up in the paws of her two littermates Jet & Lu, ATD Certified Therapy Dogs. As a team they love to share smiles and joy, because volunteer work "is a real treat!"
Camille is originally from Charleston, SC but now local to Lexington. A Mom of 5 with 2 fur babies. She graduated from Southeastern College December 2023 in Massage Therapy and is passionate about helping others. Camille looks forward to helping you relax, so come on in!
Faith has lived most of her life in Lexington and went to school for massage therapy at Midlands Technical College. She loves the calm that the job brings and is happy to offer everyone she works with a wonderful relaxing massage.
Breanna is a licensed Esthetician and graduate of the Aesthetic Academy of Lexington. With a deep passion for skincare and client care, she specializes in customized facial treatments and professional waxing services. Breanna is dedicated to helping her clients feel confident, refreshed, and comfortable in their own skin. As both a skincare professional and a proud mother, she brings care, precision, and heart to everything she does.
Rhonda moved from Aiken to Lexington in 2021. Her favorite hobbies are shopping, dancing and watching college football and women’s college basketball – especially the Carolina Gamecocks! She enjoys spending time and making memories with her family and friends. Rhonda became a client at Soothing Sessions Massage after suffering from lower back pain that went down her legs and to her toes. After realizing how much a deep tissue massage was helping her, she now tries to schedule one each month. In February 2023, she became a part-time Receptionist and was very excited to accept the position and be part of such an awesome team that helps people feel better.
Kelly was born in NJ, spent most of her life in FL until relocating to SC in 2023. Married with 3 children she loves watching NCAA & NFL football, especially the Gamecocks and 49ers. A golfing family and almost always outdoors from the mountains to the beach is where you'll find her when she isn't at work.
Shannon joined our team in 2024 and is a SC native. She's married to her highschool sweetheart and a mom of 2 fur babies. Hobbies include photography, reading & guitar. She loves being outdoors and training for marathons. Shannon regularly volunteers with local pet rescues and photographing homeless pets in an effort to get them adopted.
